Submission Guidelines

Please make sure your pitch or article is:

  • Original and not published elsewhere
  • Accurate, informative, and useful to our readers
  • At least 800 words if you’re submitting a completed article
  • Focused on the Balkans
  • Written without excessive promotion

Please include sources for important historical or factual claims. Links should be relevant and useful to readers; we may remove links that are promotional, unrelated, or do not support the article.

We may edit accepted submissions for clarity, grammar, formatting, style, and search readability. We do not accept duplicate content, thin articles, spammy link-building pitches, or unedited, mass-produced AI content. Writers are responsible for the accuracy and originality of their work, including any content created with AI tools.

Author Credit and Publication

Accepted articles may include an author byline and a short biography. We review each idea individually, and sending a pitch does not guarantee publication.
